Managing beard and hair in the summer periods at the beach or in the pool is simple if you follow our advice carefully.

The sun, salt, sand and chlorine irritate the skin, dry hair and could damage the beard if some simple steps are not followed. Let us remember that the damage caused by UV rays can remain even in subsequent periods after exposure to the sun, and we want this not to happen.

Most of the problems that sun rays could cause are easily solved by using products that can create strong protective barriers to safeguard the structure of both beard and hair.

Hair care

To protect the hair you have to proceed in 3 steps:

Step 1. Pre-sun exposure

Step 2. Washing during the day

Step 3. Post-sun exposure

Step 1. Pre-sun exposure

Use products that we have inside a great potential of hydration and protection from UV rays. They can be spray products or non-spray products.

Step 2. Washing during the day

Stop exposure to the sun and cool down at regular intervals to remove any excess product used during exposure. We recommend you to use a multi-purpose soap: it is easy, fast and comfortable, and is super effective to remove the excess of residue that stops in the hair.

Step 3. Post-sun exposure

We have finished our day, it’s time to go back and then stop at the sun. I have to remove from my hair all the residues of salt and chlorine. Wash your hair with a shampoo, or a shower shampoo to continue the hydration of our hair with oil-based products that can remain in the hair without an additional rinse.

Beard care

Having a beard at the sea is possible! Here are some of our tips to manage it correctly, especially if it is a lanyard.

The problems of sea beard are born when the beard is wet with salt water and dries in the sun, and remains in contact with sand and dust. It gets even worse when you touch the beard with your hands.

Before you expose yourself to the sun apply our shaving balm or nourishing oil. Both contain UV protectors and create that light barrier that prevents the sun from drying our beards too much.

After getting out of the water take a shower to remove that part of salt or sand that has remained in contact with the beard.

At the end of the day, after exposure to the sun in the sea or pool, carry out (during the shower) the complete ritual. Detoxifying shaving oil to remove salt residues and salts combined with shaving shampoo. Rinse, dry the beard and then apply nourishing shaving oil or better yet our shaving balm because in addition to the beard also moisturizes the skin under the beard.

Is it also possible to manage your beard in the pool without ruining it?

Absolutely yes and the measures are the same to apply for a day at the sea.
