Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2024 concluded with excellent results, attracting the attention of a wide audience from 150 countries and totaling an impressive influx of 248,500 visitors. The next edition is already scheduled to take place from March 20th to 23rd, 2025.
The 55th edition saw the participation of 3.012 exhibitors from 69 countries, highlighting a 4% increase compared to the previous year. A notable aspect was the significant presence of international stakeholders, registering a 9% increase compared to the previous year, thanks in part to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).
Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna continues to stand out as a unique platform in its sector, supporting the development of a global industry that is projected to reach a value of over $670 billion by the end of the year, with an average annual growth of 9% over the next four years, according to Euromonitor International data.
“It has been an extremely positive edition, confirming the market’s vitality and above all, the strategic importance of Cosmoprof for international operators,” said Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere. “We are very grateful for the support and presence of the institutions this year, and we were honored to have numerous government representatives with us. The contribution of the Italian Trade Agency has been particularly strategic, involving over 70 offices to invite delegations from major markets for this edition. Thanks to the synergies with the institutions, we hosted world-class buyers from 113 countries. An extraordinary result that meets the needs of an industry that is one of the flagships of Made in Italy and deserves the right recognition.”
Benedetto Lavino, President of Cosmetica Italia – National Association of Cosmetic Companies, emphasized the importance of the presence of the Italian cosmetics industry at Cosmoprof, highlighting the remarkable economic results and the employment impact of the sector.
The new format of the dates, with the opening of all pavilions from Thursday, was particularly appreciated by exhibitors, facilitating incoming visitors and networking with international professionals in all sectors.
The white paper produced in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia has aroused particular interest. The document contains guidelines for the design of sustainable packaging for the cosmetic sector. The theme of sustainability was indeed more central than ever during the event and led to the organization of numerous conferences on the topic.
Cosmoprof brought attention to natural beauty, with natural formulations, a focus on green practices and environmental sustainability.
